My name is Rodolfo Almeida, most people find it easier to call me Rudolph and I sign R.Humal.
Prince Charles has 4 names and he can’t even draw a stick figure!

I was born in Uruguay “South America” (1966), migrated to Australia in the 70’s and returned to my place of birth in the mid 80’s where I then lived almost 20 years.
The fascination with drawing that every kid has at an early age usually starts to fade in their teen age years. In my case, it’s always being there and with practice I started to develop my skills in life drawing, portraiture and most of all, Caricatures. I’ve found this stile was not only so much fun to do but also entertained others who found my work quite humorous and was regularly asked by friend and workmates to caricaturize others so they get a kick out of it .

This joke, apart from getting me in trouble with a few bosses encouraged me to quit my old trade as a Panel Beater and start doing caricatures for a living.
I was soon traveling around South America , Europe and Australia from one festival to the next getting to know places that I had never heard of , doing what I loved best and getting paid for it.
This new life not only helped to improve my caricatures but offered more free time and access to institutes where I could develop my skills in other stiles and mediums like Visual arts ,Illustration, Whater-Colour and Air Brushing.
After visiting Australia in the years 2000 I decided to stay for a few years and study Visual arts, new media and Illustration and ended up calling the Gold Coast, my new home.

Worked as a cartoonist at an overseas Graphic Design Agency called “LaRocca Network” where my cartoons and caricatures where published on magazines, books, CD covers, brochures and web sites.

Freelance
Since the early 90’s till now I have been working as a caricature artist drawing people live in Corporate Events, Exhibitions, Private Parties, markets and Shopping Centres in Australia and around Europe And South America.
Apart from my live caricature work, I do freelance illustration, cartooning , Air Brushed artwork on cars motorbikes and murals and teach Air Brushing for a school called Air Brush Venturi.
